Wherever you are, whatever you do, whoever you are with – have a safe and Blessed Thanksgiving!
Woke up this morning and it was 46 I believe. The temp has dropped and is now 42! The wind is blowing so not sure what the wind chill is, all I know is I LOVE IT! The dogs were huddled together this morning IN the garage, considering the other morning one of them drug the blanket out on the driveway and they slept on it out there. Maybe they wanted to look at the stars. Got a nice fire going. Temps are predicted to be in the mid 40s for a few days and 30s at night. This is MY kind of weather!!
I have a favorite “blankie” that I use when it is cold outside and I am watching TV on the couch. Tabitha evidently likes it too!
We got three new
steers heifers ast night. These guys gals aren’t that old. They are being kept in the corral until tonight when Greg gets home. Rosoe and Remi are being kept in the dog pen as Roscoe likes to “herd” cattle and we don’t want the steers heifers to be petrified!
Note: Seems I don’t know the difference between a steer or a heifer!! I thought they looked too “pretty” to be a steer 🙂
The past couple of mornings have been in the low 30s, which I love! Course, it doesn’t last long around here. Temps are supposed to get near 80 this weekend, typical Texas weather. I was just thinking of this saying that we have in Texas and then ran across one on Facebook!
For as long as I can remember, I have put a blanket down for the dogs in the garage when it gets cold. Years ago, when we had 5 big dogs, they would sleep in the doggie condo with lots of hay and they kept warm. I make sure my babies are warm when it is cold outside and they appreciate it!
The temps were only in the mid 50s today, which is MY kind of weather! So tonight’s dinner is very fitting – venison stew! The broth started out with Greg simmering a venison neck bone in some seasonings. I deboned it as much as I could and then added some ground venison and all the other veggies. A pan of cornbread and we will be set!
