I’m a Fat Cat – Literally!

I was walking out to our metal building and noticed Buddy sitting on one of the steps very relaxed.  Of course, I didn’t have my camera with me so I RAN back to the house to get it and he kept the pose.  He was just quite content just looking around.  He has put on the pounds since we have gotten him and it’s not because I feed him too much.  He must grocery shop in the woods!

Klepto Strikes Again!

I have this habit of looking out of our bathroom window each morning (which looks out on to the driveway) just to see if anything new is out there.  Well, Sunday evening Remi made a trip down the road and picked up yet another big dog bowl, as yesterday morning, this was across the driveway.  Not sure if anything was in it when she brought it to the house as it was empty when I saw it.  This makes bowl #3 that we now have (birds have built a nest in one of them).   This dog has issues!

Rest in Peace Roscoe

Roscoe was one of the most active dogs I think we have ever had – always full of life, loved to run and stalk squirrels and play with Remi.  Tuesday evening he running around like he always did and yesterday afternoon, couldn’t move.  I took him to the vet yesterday afternoon and this morning the vet called and said he was totally paralyzed.  Several thoughts as to how this could have happened, but none conclusive.  Greg just called and said our vet called him to let him know that he passed away.  I am certainly going to miss Mr. Roscoe P. Coltrane (my nickname for him), my protector, my friend, but most importantly, part of the family!

My Blinging Acquisition

A friend and I went to Conroe, a suburb of Houston last week to shop.  We used to go once a month, but that had to stop as I was spending too much money!  So we stopped at Sam Moon, one of the stores we always go to when there and headed to the shoes and clothing entrance.  After looking around a while, I spotted some shoes that I fell in love with.  Another lady was eyeing the same shoe and as it turns out, this pair was the ONLY pair of this style left!  She grabbed them and tried them on but put them back on the shelf.  They were a 1/2 size smaller than what I wear so I asked the sales lady if there were any more in the back and she said no, that style sold out fast.  Well, the next day I decided to look on Amazon to see if they had that shoe and they did – so I ordered them.  I got them in today.  These will look good coming AND going!  and the best part is these were cheaper, including the shipping, than they were at Sam Moon – bling it on!!

Is Spring Finally Here?

Judging by the weather we had at the beginning  of the week – NO!  Dang temperatures were cold, in the 30’s at night.  But this evening I noticed my roses are starting to bloom!!!

Venison!

Greg worked hard last night grinding up deer for jerky and then adding pork to some with seasonings for pan sausage.  I love to use the sausage for spaghetti, meatloaf and anything else you may use ground beef for.  Very tasty!
