New Mexico Vacation – Act II

Too much to tell in one post about our trip to Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico.  I LOVED the weather!  I am a cold weather person, as long as there is no wind or rain (or ridiculously cold!).  While in Santa Fe, near the square, we were walking around and I noticed this sculpture which was very unusual.  It is part of one of the art museums.  I thought it was very interesting what the artist did with basic every day items.  Walking along a little further I noticed the painted columns – very cool!

We also visited the Capitol in Santa Fe.  From the outside, it was nice, but inside was stunning!  The walls were beautiful marble!!

Outside of Albuquerque, we took the Sandia Mountains tram.  I don’t think I have ever been on a tram before going up a mountain and it was both exciting and a little scary (especially if you are afraid of heights, which I am of sorts).  But the view at the top was spectacular.  We were at 10,378 feet at the top.

That’s all for now.  Next stop – Taos!
