Before things get wild and crazy around here preparing for my hubby’s family gathering this weekend, I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! I did a little more decorating this year as I tend to do when we host the family. I enjoy it. This year the tree is trimmed in gold.
I was sitting on the couch watching one of the shows that I record and had a creative moment. You know the dress dummy that is dressed up for Christmas? Well, I have had a dummy for years and had this idea of what I wanted to do so, I made my own Christmas tree dummy. I am very pleased at how she turned out!
Merry Christmas Y’all!
This reminded me of the Alfred Hitchcock movie “The Birds” I saw many years ago. This morning, I was looking out my back window and noticed hundreds of crows and then they went to the front. I have never seen this many crows in one area in my life!
As well as the mess I make when I start the process of decorating for Christmas! I start with the tree and get it decorated before I go on to anything else in the house. This year, we are hosting my hubby’s family Christmas gathering so I go all out and do more than I have in the past few years (including putting up the “big” tree). Every year, the ornaments are a different color/s and this year I decided to do all gold with a touch of red here and there. This is something I have done for years, learned from my mother, who LOVED to decorate for Christmas and would have our home looking like it came out of Better Homes and Gardens for the holidays. I will hopefully be done by the end of the week, it takes me a while as I plan nothing out, my process is spontaneous, which to me, is more fun.
